Yoga had helped me handle the emotional turmoil of my early 20s and heal from a painful back injury. In January of 2010 I traveled to Guatemala to take a Yoga Teacher Training course, and I have been teaching ever since. Teaching yoga helped me to understand the body in a holistic way, and I knew I needed more.
I graduated from the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy in early 2012 and opened Elements of Bodywork in August 2013. I am always amazed and inspired by the changes massage can bring. In only a few sessions massage can ease physical stress and discomfort, muscular pain, emotional stress and tension, limited range of motion, and that overall blah feeling. And all without drugs or invasive procedures. I provide a soothing, healing environment for massage newbies and massage regulars alike. In your massage, you know best. Something doesn’t feel right? Speak up! I will adjust my technique to suit your needs.
Self-care is a top priority in my book. Exercise, eating real food, and relaxation are important for feeling good and being our best every day. Massage, yoga, kale and a little dark chocolate are my preventative medicine prescription.
ON LIFE OUTSIDE THE STUIO:
When I am not at the studio I enjoy going for walks with my dog, spending time in the kitchen with my husband, and binge watching Game of Thrones.
